H&R Block holds the top of accountant Sydney, with Sydney Accountants Group and Airtasker behind it. Google's own question box asks how much an accountant costs in Sydney, so the searcher is pricing firms before calling. None of the 86 pages in your sitemap is about fees.
The chain, with every assumption written down. Deliberately conservative.
The six searches in this report, at an example volume a Sydney market this size supports. An example, not a measured figure.
The clicks you do not get today, once those pages sit around position three, rounded down.
Enquiries at 5% of those visits, rounded down.
Enquiries, not signed clients. What a new client is worth to the firm over a year is your number, not mine.
Halve the example volume and it is still four enquiries a month going to the firms above you today. Most of the pages to catch them already exist.
Estimates, not promises. Each assumption is deliberately conservative so the number holds up.
Give accountant Sydney and small business accountant Sydney their own pages, move the 19 default page addresses to names that describe the service, link the industry pages in, and use one address: the footer says 477 Pitt St, the page title and Google listing say 11 York St.
| Advertiser | Ads on record | Last ran | Headline seen | Lands on | Offer on the page |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Taxgain | 27 | Not dated | "Small Business Tax Accountants - Small Business Account Service" | taxgain.com.au | Book An Appointment button, phone number and both offices up top |
| City Tax Accountants | 0 | Nothing on record | Nothing running | citytaxaccountants.com.au | Online booking buttons and phone links |
| The Ark Accounting Corp | 0 | Nothing on record | Nothing running | the-ark.com.au/get-a-quote | A Get In Touch form, no phone number |
Taxgain has 27 ads on record pointing to its domain, selling small business and SMSF accounting. None of the six searches showed a paid ad when checked, so the slots are open. A capped search campaign on the six terms, landing on your Get In Touch page, is the fastest way to be seen while the pages climb.
Your Get In Touch page has a short form starting with name and email, loading and visible. I did not submit it. The homepage has no form and no phone link, only an email address in the footer. No GA4, Tag Manager, Google Ads or Meta tag fired on the homepage load.
Theirs: nothing to read. Neither Taxgain nor City Tax Accountants has an ad running under its name. Missing: a headline written to the owner who is behind on the books, not to the accounting profession.
Theirs: no copy in the library. Missing: named proof. Your site already claims more than 2,000 clients served and 35 global partners, the kind of specific an owner checks before calling.
Theirs: no creative to compare. Missing: a real face from the firm and one clear next step. An owner should know in the first frame that a conversation starts with one short form.
Why this matters: a stronger headline and hook lifts click-through. Higher click-through lowers what Meta charges per click. Cheaper clicks mean more visits from the same budget, and more visits mean more enquiries. In this comparison the feed is empty, so the cost of learning what works is as low as it will get.
Taxgain has 27 Google ads on record, yet no paid ad showed on any of the six searches. A small campaign on those terms, landing on your contact page, brings enquiries while the organic work takes hold.
The homepage has no phone link and no GA4, Tag Manager, Google Ads or Meta tag fired. Adding them means every enquiry can be traced to the click that sent it.
You have 86 pages, 19 still on default addresses. A page each for accountant Sydney and small business accountant Sydney, linked to your industry pages, gives Google something to rank.
Your listing has five reviews against Taxgain's 78 and City Tax Accountants' 258. Asking the clients you already serve is the cheapest credibility in this report.
Nobody in this comparison is running Meta ads. A small test aimed at Sydney business owners is the cheapest audience in this report to learn from.
Fifteen minutes on the phone, no pitch. I will walk you through the two pages worth building first and what a capped search campaign to your contact page would cost.
Book a time with DeanAt 18 I started a corporate events company doing photo booths, DJing and photography. I could not afford an agency, so I taught myself web development, Meta Ads, Google Ads and SEO off YouTube, got myself to number one on Google, and took it to roughly $300,000.
Everything in this report I can read because I have spent my own money on the exact channels it covers. What follows is not theory. It is what I would fix first.
