| Channel | Star Medical | Chatswood Medical & Dental | Hornsby Medical Centre | What it means |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Google rankings 6 money searches | Page one on 0 of 6 | Page one on 2 of 6 | Page one on 2 of 6 | Each practice is #1 in its own suburb. Star Medical is not on page one in any of the three. |
| Google Ads Transparency Centre, AU | 0 ads on record | 2 ads on record | 0 ads on record | Chatswood Medical & Dental has paid Google before. No paid results showed on the six searches. |
| Meta Ads Ad Library, active now | None under its name | No ads found | No ads found | None of the three practices is in the feed. |
| Landing page Where the click lands | HotDoc booking, form, phone links, GA4 | Online booking, phone links | Online booking, no tap-to-call | Your booking page is as complete as either practice's. The search traffic is what is missing. |
| Reputation Google rating (reviews) | 4.6 (235), Chatswood listing | 3.6 (1,807) | 2.3 (229) | Rating taken from the Star Medical Chatswood listing, which matches your Help Street address and call link. Hornsby (4.3, 100) and Wentworth Point (4.7, 53) have their own listings. |
Star Medical has done the hard parts well: three clinics, HotDoc booking for each one, GA4 installed, and a 4.6 rating from 235 reviews on its Chatswood listing. None of its pages is on page one for the six searches here. Both comparison practices hold two page one spots each, both at #1.
Six searches a patient types before choosing a GP, read live from Google Australia on 9 October 2026.

Chatswood Medical & Dental holds #1 for gp chatswood and a second spot at #7. HotDoc's GP finder sits third. Google showed no question box on this search, but on medical centre hornsby it asks whether a practice is in Westfield Hornsby. Your Hornsby clinic is.
The chain, with every assumption written down. Deliberately conservative.
The six searches in this report, at an example volume three suburbs this size support. An example, not a measured figure.
The clicks you do not get today, once your clinic pages sit around position three, rounded down.
Appointment requests at 5% of those visits, rounded down.
New patient appointments, not a dollar figure. Consult fees and Medicare rebates vary, so I have not put a value on them.
Halve the example volume and it is still four new patient appointments a month going to the practices above you today. Your booking flow is already built to take them.
Estimates, not promises. Each assumption is deliberately conservative so the number holds up.
Give each clinic its own page with its suburb in the title, address, hours and HotDoc link, add the Wentworth Point page, retire the duplicate COVID and coming soon pages, and link the skin check page to the Chatswood clinic page.
| Advertiser | Ads on record | Last ran | Headline seen | Lands on | Offer on the page |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Chatswood Medical & Dental | 2 | Not dated | "100% Bulk Billed Doctors - Chatswood Medical Centre" | chatswoodmedicalanddental.com.au/bulk-billing | Bulk billed GP consults, online booking |
| Hornsby Medical Centre | 0 | Nothing on record | Nothing running | hornsbymedicalcentre.com.au | Online booking, bulk billing for Medicare card holders |
| Star Medical | 0 | Nothing on record | Nothing running | starmedical.com.au/book-now | HotDoc booking for each clinic and a phone number |
Two ads on record point to chatswoodmedicalanddental.com.au, from a verified advertiser, undated. No paid results showed on any of the six searches, so nobody here was buying them on the day. A capped search campaign on the suburb terms, landing on the right clinic's HotDoc booking, would put Star Medical above the organic list.
Your Book Now page embeds HotDoc booking, and the contact page links each clinic's HotDoc request. The homepage has a four-field form and tap-to-call links. I did not submit or book anything. GA4 fires on the homepage. No Google Ads or Meta tag was seen.
Theirs: nothing to read. Neither Chatswood Medical & Dental nor Hornsby Medical Centre has an ad running under its name. Missing: a headline that names the suburb and the clinic, so a local patient knows it is near them.
Theirs: no copy in the library. Missing: plain information. Your site already lists three clinic addresses, the services each offers and a booking link, which is what a patient needs to choose.
Theirs: no creative to compare. Missing: the clinic itself and one next step. A patient should see where the clinic is and how to book in the first frame.
Why this matters: a stronger headline and hook lifts click-through. Higher click-through lowers what Meta charges per click. Cheaper clicks mean more visits from the same budget, and more visits mean more appointments. In this comparison the feed is empty, so a plain, local information ad would have it to itself.
No paid results showed on the six searches. A small campaign on each clinic's suburb terms, landing on that clinic's HotDoc booking, brings appointments while the pages climb.
The homepage hero says contact us to book and offers a call button. Linking it straight to HotDoc, where booking already works, saves a patient a step.
There are patient information pages for Chatswood and Hornsby but none for Wentworth Point. One page per clinic with its suburb in the title, address, hours and booking link is where the ranking starts.
Three copies of a COVID vaccine page and a coming soon page are listed. Retiring them and giving the homepage a title that names your suburbs, not just NSW, helps Google read what the site is for.
GA4 already fires. Adding the Google Ads tag and counting HotDoc booking clicks means every appointment request can be traced to the search that sent it.
Fifteen minutes on the phone, no pitch. I will walk you through the clinic pages I would build first and what a capped search campaign per clinic would cost.
Book a time with DeanAt 18 I started a corporate events company doing photo booths, DJing and photography. I could not afford an agency, so I taught myself web development, Meta Ads, Google Ads and SEO off YouTube, got myself to number one on Google, and took it to roughly $300,000.
